Actually, there's a hacker party I'm going to (http://www.shdh.org) a week from Saturday that will have a number of very sharp people in attendance; it's a great venue for meeting people who have a wide variety of useful skills. (roadknight can attest to this as well -- at the last one, he hooked me up with some folks who were very helpful with some questions I had.)
